Convocatoria a un concurso de ensayo
Tema: «Qué relevancia tiene la Doctrina Social de la Iglesia* en mi formación personal y futura práctica profesional».
Participantes: estudiantes de último año de high school.
Normas:
Extensión y forma del texto: escrito en un archivo electrónico Word en español o inglés, ocupando un máximo de tres (3) páginas de 8.5” x 11.0” numeradas al centro del margen inferior, escritas a espacio y medio (1.5) con letra tipo Times New Roman tamaño 12. Cualquier nota o referencia deberá ir al final del texto debidamente identificada en él y dentro del máximo de páginas indicado.
Plazo para su presentación: 15 de octubre, 2026
Presentación: en archivo Word con el texto del ensayo identificado como «Ensayo El Ignaciano» anexo a un email en el que se darán los datos del autor: nombre y apellido, dirección postal, fecha de nacimiento, estudios que cursa y en qué institución educativa, enviado a la siguiente dirección electrónica: institutopedroarrupe@ceimiami.org
Evaluación y premio
La evaluación de los ensayos recibidos se hará de forma anónima y estará a cargo de la junta editorial de la revista; su decisión sobre el ensayo ganador se les comunicará a los participantes antes del 20 de noviembre, 2026.
El ensayo ganador se publicará en la edición de diciembre de El Ignaciano y la persona ganadora recibirá un diploma.
*Doctrina Social de la Iglesia: la dignidad de la persona humana, el bien común, el destino universal de los bienes, la solidaridad, la subsidiaridad; en resumen, la justicia social.

CALL FOR AN ESSAY CONTEST
Topic: “What role does the Church's Social Teaching* play in my personal development and future professional practice?”
Participants: high school seniors.
Rules:
Length and format of the text: written in a Word document in Spanish or English, not exceeding three (3) pages of 8.5” x 11.0” size, with page numbers centered at the bottom margin, and formatted with 1.5 line spacing using 12-point Times New Roman font. Any notes or references must be placed at the end of the text, properly cited within the text, and must not exceed the specified page limit.
Submission deadline: October 15, 2026.
Submission: In a Word file containing the text of the essay titled “The Ignatian Essay,” attached to an email that includes the author’s information: first and last name, mailing address, date of birth, current course of study, and the educational institution attended, sent to the following email address:

Evaluation and Award:
The submitted essays will be evaluated anonymously by the journal’s editorial board; participants will be notified of the decision regarding the winning essay by November 20 2026.
